Oh and make sure you have a slammin' resume. Most people think their resumes are great but many times the person reviewing it doesn't think so and that can keep you from getting an interview. I had my resume professionally altered before I applied for this job and it made a difference.

I have all sort of experience bookkeeping, taxes, accounting, acctg mgmt, etc., etc., and i don't want to pursue public accounting at this point in my life ....thanks for the sharing and the advice.
"chosen from 100's of applicants...." very encouraging from all of us who are looking for a job...
May I ask you do you use to review your resume?? i think it's a great idea to have someone else take a look.
