I have the Yaeger homestudy and have been studying for the BEC part of the exam, I am up to the econ section, it seems each section basically regurgitates the stuff in the book and says read the book and do the questions,  Phil himself said the questions in the business formation part are harder on test.

My questions are

Is the test really this easy?  I'm falling asleep watching the DVDs.  This material really isn't that difficult, so am I just supposed to read the books and do the questions and thats it?  I mean for IT section, all they did was just go through the questions.  For the Econ section, he is just basically explaining economics for slow learners.  I thought the CPA exam was supposed to be a real hard test, as it is now, it seems easier than my NASD License tests.

You don't need to read the book if you use the Yaeger videos...just take great notes.

Yes - the material is boring by nature so you have to actively take notes in order to stay focused...it gives you something to do.

Work the questions they assign for you to do and you'll be set.

YES - the CPA Exam is hard. BEC ranks #3 in terms of difficulty in my book and keeps in line with the general consensus that FAR is the most difficult, followed by REG, then BEC, then AUD.

I would sit for an exam or two before you declare the material to "easy".

Good luck!

In the IT section, they specifically tell you to read the book, I believe Phil says to read the book as well.  I did the questions for the first two parts, I got like a 92 and an 85 on the IT section including 2 questions in the IT section that I wasn't supposed to do and got wrong.  So this is all I'm supposed to do?  This seems way too easy.

You're probably right about Phil saying that...it's been a year since I studied for BEC. However, I didn't read any of the book for FAR, REG or BEC and passed all 3 with Yaeger.

If you can work all of the IT questions in the Wiley book, you'll be set for the exam....be confident in that...I know I killed the IT section when I passed BEC.
