globetrotter, congratulations! You did very well! I hope your topic will inspire others not to fear this, essentially not particularly difficult, exam. Some people don't understand that passing this exam doesn't really have anything to do with the fact how much practical experience you have or how clever (up to the certain level, of course) you are. It's about perseverance and understanding of basic concepts.

P.S. I am very sorry that your husband was deployed. Does he want to stay with the Air Force any longer? Don't answer if you feel that it's a too personal question.

Thanks so much globetrotter, I am set to sit for AUDIT in November. I haven't picked a date yet but I have started studying for it.

lelik, you are right.  Some folks have extensive experience in tax/audit field and would still end up failing these sections, so there's really no secret formula, but hard work and perseverance sure help a lot.

My husband is an Air Force Pharmacist who came to the US as a war refugee when he was two years old.  He said that the reason why he chose to serve, instead of live a comfortable life in Southern Cali, is because he wants to give back to the country that adopted him.  I love him more because of this.  If he decides to stay as an active duty, I will support him 100%.

jupiter, pick a date, and stick to it.  In my case, I did not allow myself to reschedule.  It wasn't an option.  Right after I took BEC and FAR in May, I scheduled REG and AUD for August.  In July, my company made travel arrangements for me to take the test, so had I rescheduled with Prometric, I will also have to switch my travel arrangements (plane, car, hotel, etc.). Nike says, Just Do It.  :)
