My application was sent in around August 22 and I have not heard back yet either. There are others at my firm that sent in their applications around the same time and they too have not heard back.

I question whether something was wrong with my applications, but how to know.

I've heard that it could be anywhere from 4-10 weeks.

What is the email address I can use to inquire about the status of my license for NY state?

I know for some states (MD for instance), require the Board of Accountancy to actually meet and approve your credentials for licensure. Its generally figurative in nature as the office processes the application, but the Board issues you your license. I'm still waiting too. I know the VA Board meets on 10/20 for its general meeting.

It is currently taking 6 weeks for incoming mail to be opened and logged into the system for processing.

They said they received my application the day I e-mailed them (yeah right) and that it would take 2 weeks to get my license number. So, i should have it by next Tuesday, which would be a 7 week process time.
