So happy for you and your full-time job offer Dalia!!!! Glad to see the CPA pay off! I follow your posts on here :) And about your question - ppl always get things they don't deserve for various reasons: nepotism, corruption or some variation of favoritism. It happens!

Thanks! :) And I agree with you.

Maybe some individuals discriminate against ugly people, but not in my office.  We have lots of ugly people, lol.

firehouse, where'd that response come from?  op has a very legitimate post, whether one wants to admit it or not.

i definitely noticed this trend while i was at public..started in midsize (top 20 firm), then crossed over to big 4.  the whole sexiness level went up two-fold.  tailored suits/skirts, gymed bodies, eating healthy at the cafeteria, people browsing on the plaza during summer lunch (hint: for all you nyc kpmg heads)

this was more true on the audit side than tax although there were definitely some 1065/1120 hotties to the exception..

i remember first day of training seeing two hookers (but smart and nice) on the front row with their skirts up to their rib cages.  im sure half the class didn't remember one lick of the orientation.  good for me, i bat lefty.

Do they discriminate against short people also? I'm 5'5 male. I hear stories of how only tall people make it big in the business world.
