Personally, I am most interested in law and wish I could become a lawyer, but I can't afford to go to law school.

Check out this:

http://www.londonexternal.ac.uk/prospective_students/undergr aduate/panel/law/index.shtml

It is a solid UK law program (distance learning) open to Americans who want to practice in the USA.  The degree is highly regarded and a fraction of the cost of a US law school.  It leads to a UK LLB (the usual law degree), after which the traditional route for a US-based student is to apply for a one-year LLM within the USA (expensive but not as much as three years of law school).  With the LLB+LLM you are able to apply for the bar exam in most states.

Yea, I was adrift for a couple of weeks after I took BEC and knew I passed (the only one I walked out of feeling that way).

Its been such a whirlwind, like riding a roller coaster emotionally.  Then the ride stops.  You get off and just stand on the platform in a daze, watching other riders scream and hang on.  I actually fell into a strange depression, like my life's direction abruptly ended.

I sure don't miss it any more. I have time to read books and watch movies now, which is 100 times more interesting and enjoyable than studying for the exam.

I'm sorry....this thread topic really made me laugh! I will say it took me nearly a year to adjust back to normal after passing the exam. When I got my results back on Auditing---the scariest section for me--and ironically, the one I did the best on, I felt TIRED for the first time since starting the process. I was kind of scared to admit how worn out I was. I called this my post CPA detox.

I am just now getting to the point where I can read for pleasure, watch movies, and play on the computer without thinking "MAN! I sure need to start farting around and study!". I also am just now able to eat lunch without feeling I need to read a CPA review book. I have just now taken off the extra 20 lbs I put on when I basically snacked to stay awake at night.

It's so liberating to be done. But....for the first few weeks, I thought I missed it, too. I liked the feedback. However, there is no way I would go back again! I'm enjoying life again and SLEEP =)

I feel exactly the same as you. I've been trying to detox by reading graphic novels on lunch breaks, watching every episode of Lost, and playing all the videogames I can. Heaven doesn't have any of these things, so you have to enjoy them while you can.
