I will have an office interview on Tuesday with a regional firm. I am wondering whether to expect accounting questions during this 3 hours meeting - Lunch. Anyone with past experience, Please let us know what to expect during the office interview.
It all depends on a firm. Some of them like some twisted questions. The firm where I got my offer, did not torture me at all. I am not good in interviews but I love what I am doing. They asked about my experience in tax and accounting, what I like to do in my spare time. All my hobbies are not team oriented like some one suggested after the recruiting season. But I got an offer. So, it all depends. I guess, relax and be yourself because if you are pretending they will figure you out after you start working and kick you out anyways. No point to pretend.

i agree with dahlia. youll know if you get the job after the interview. If you get dirty looks from anyone or someone asks you an impossible question only to get you to put your foot in your mouth, then they probably won;t give you an offer.

I would hope to get an offer. I certainly will keep you posted. Anyone who had similar experience let us know how it went and what to expect during the visit. Whether or not technical accounting questions were part of the mix.
I have never had any technical accounting questions asked because I was interviewed for an entry level staff accountant position. If you are looking for a senior level position, expect some technical questions.
