Correct, technical questions are normally not asked at entry level.  For senior level, 1 level above entry level, there might be some.  I got a few technical tax questions at one of my interviews last year for senior tax accountant, but even then, most of the questions were non-technical.

If this is a CPA firm, at the entry level they know you don't know anything.  They want to see your personality and see if you can think on your feet.  Try to come up with stories of your past work experience and tie it to what they ask for.  Let them know you can work under a budget and can be organized.  Give stories and references to attest to this.

Also, DO NOT imply that you wish to get certified on their dime and then go to private (even if it's true).  Express that you want to be competitive and make partner at the firm.

I had many interviews at the entry level and was never asked a technical question.  However a common question I was asked is "why do you want to work in public accounting"

No offer because they still have some other office interviews this week. Decision expected early next week. If you ask me, I think I left a good impression but you never know. They asked me some questions about myself and passing CPA Exam.

I would hope to get an offer. Will keep you posted of the outcome.

There is a belief that these firms make the decision the day of the interview or the next day and will contact you the next day if they want to hire you...If they don't want to hire you, they will contact a few days later...Please let us know if you got it and when they told you that if you did
