Kind of how I feel about interviews.  I'm sure people have had offers come way later, but it seems they usually come a day or a few days after the interview.

FWIW, when I was job-hunting last year around this time, I got 1 offer the day after the interview and another 4 days after the interview.  The first and only other time I've looked for a job in public accounting was early in 2006, and the offer came maybe 7 or 9 days after the interview, but part of the delay was because the company asked to see college transcripts and for references.

Good luck, Marocpa, and do keep us posted.

I agree, but it depends on the type of company.  Smaller companies will usually contact you quickly if they want you unless they are incompetent.  A friend of mine has been working at a small company for about 5 years now and their hiring process is so disorganized that it can take up to a month before they extend offers.

Larger companies tend to move slower even if they want you because they usually have to jump through all sorts of hoops before they can make a offer.

I was hired less than a day after my interview.  My boss was practically begging to hire me at the time.  I bet he's thinking twice about that in hindsight now..
