yikes. not to hate, but the economy did mess up salaries. My friend started at $52k in tax (Los Angeles) in 2007. That's 3 years ago with very minimal upswing in salary. Friends in 2006 were getting $48-50k so the increase between 2006 and 2007 was pretty nice.
