Performance bonus?  I didn't think Big 4 gave that to staff.

That's what it says in my offer letter.  When I talked to the partner in my discipline he said it essentially replaced a signing bonus.

Do you know if there is an age limit for BIG 4 when hiring entry level CPAs? I
am looking for an entry level position right now and was wondering if I have
a chance to get a job in those firms. What about Mid-Size firms?
Thank you.

Was this for tax?  I'm in the 09 class and my salary is 51.2.  I would think salaries for '10 would stay the same, or even if they increase it wouldn't be by that much.  Jesus.

Also, for Fed007: you are living my dream right now!  My goal is to land a federal job next.  I'm in a Big4 right now and I hate it.  I don't think I want to stay until I get my CPA, I'll do work for the government and get my 2 years experience there.  But I don't know what my chances are of landing a government job is since I don't have much experience.  I only graduated with an undergrad this May. (Right now I do tax compliance, it's too narrow of a focus.  I'd like to someday do budgetary and financial analysis work.)

Anywho I don't want to take up space on the forum here to ramble, but if we can get in touch I would love to hear more about your work and any advice you can offer.
