Easy to say that you can put Big 4 material on your resume. Not all of us are so lucky to get the chance for the big 4.

Step into my shoes and you will not feel as great. I have small firm and small business experience. Its been 8 months now and I could not find anything right after being laid off, even with a few interviews, I just stopped looking as hard. My brother is graduating and only 5% of them have Jobs.

Maybe I am just lucky, but I pretty much got it without any effort.  1.7 GPA in HS playing starcraft all day and night.  Then bounced around colleges, got a 3.7 at the time, got my internship and that was it.  Minimal studying was needed.  I was always under the impression that Big 4 jobs were easy to get since they hire so many people.  The CPA was another walk in the park.  Can't wait for a top MSA program, this time I'll take my education more seriously.  Inspired, I would aim at a school on that list I sent you and go for a 3.7+ GPA.

IDK if I can, I have a drastically lower GPA than you. So I am in essence screwed there.

Dawgie, your sample size equals 1, which is hardly material for generalizations, especially given the rapidly changing hiring landscape.  Plus, you might have just gotten lucky.   If you already have Big 4 on the resume and have passed the CPA exam, I'm skeptical that paying for a MAcc is good ROI.

I know for a fact that #2 man in my University had trouble finding a Job 3.9GPA. This is not some small university either.
