Aimhigh, if you are still taking the exams, remember you
can do it. Others have, I did, so can you. It is not beyond
anyone who wants it badly.

Failed. Am I even smart enough? Since it's "just" BEC?

Maine,

Sorry for the bad news. You need to stop feeling sorry
for yourself and do the work to pass. Let's face it, you
don't want to pass bad enough or you would have passed!
The exams are not beyond you or anyone for that matter,
you need to put in the time, can you give 100%? If not,
give up now, 60%, 70% or 80% won't cut it.

I have two friends that are taking the exams since
January 2006 and this is how they expect to pass - they
study during the week for 2 hours Monday thru Friday and
party on the weekend and guess what, they are still
waiting and hoping to pass.

I remembered taking FAR first and got a 74% and was very,
very, angry.I took the result and stuck it up in my
cubical at the office and that anger is what I use as a
motivating factor to get me through and I didn't fail
again. My point, use what motivates you to action.

You can do this, you can! Look deep within and draw
strength, set a realistic schedule and work on it.

Look at the top of this page for my study plan.

Good luck

Well see. The problem is, the first time around I might have not done enough. The second time around, I really did study. I studied for 2 hrs/day during weekdays and for 12 hrs a day during weekends. I even took a sick day on Friday because on Monday I had the exam. That's 36 hrs in one long weekend. And never mind the weeks before that weekend. And what do I get when I look at the test? IT questions about wire connections and things I have never seen on Gleim CD Rom? Not even once? Variances? Bring it! Managerial Accounting? Bring it! Economics? Not a problem and what do I get? I get terminology! I get terminology that not only have I not seen in my study materials, that I have not ever heard in my two years experience in public accounting or four years of college! I am no allowed to repeat the questions I got on the test, so I wont. But this time I definitely wanted it way more than bad enough. I busted my fanny off to get at least 75 and I got 69! Feel bad for myself? Hell no! Big slam at my self-esteem? Hell yeah! This is the venting place right? I'll vent! It hurts like nothing has hurt before since I have never failed anything in my LIFE! I know you're trying to help and I am honestly more thank grateful that you are but it's not fair telling me that I did not want this bad enough...because I did!!! and I did everything I could to get it!!! I didn't. Now back to my initial question. Am I smart enough?
