Tell me about it!! I got a 71...I almost wish I would have just totally blown it. It's like man if I would've written another paragraph, or checked my first answer instead of my second we probably would've made it. UGH!

What are your suggestions - I've been studying & was going to take REG the 2nd week in January, but now after getting my score I'm not sure if I should just try to retake FAR the second week in January since it's still a little fresh in my head.

What do you guys think I should do??? Quit studying for REG and try to retake FAR in January? or keep stuyding for REG? Ahhhhhh

Don't take FAR in January!  Give yourself a lot more time to re-study for it.  Go ahead and take REG the 2nd week of January and take FAR the last day of February or even the first week of April.  Don't just try to get those 4 extra points.  Aim for a 99! Get the Yaeger Cram for a couple hundred dollars.  I hear it's worth it!

Gina 123:

You just express my felling when I fail with 73 too. You are definitely not alone. Even statistic say just 10% CPA test taker pass on their first try and 75% pass the test on their second time. Maybe, the CPA tests design that way to test our patient also. I hear you saying about the cost and the time for the second try. But study for the second time, I can say that I have more knowledge and more confident in myself…. But I’m still mad at myself that I should pass the first time. Yeah.

Crammer:

Just go on with your plan study REG, and come back FAR. You will surprise how much you still remember FAR materials, even though, after a while study for CPA exam, you seem like sometime you could not even recall your coworkers, client’s name (It’s happen to me, anyway). I’m totally agree with Accounting Nerd8 don’t rush to re take FAR, you need to re study before to take the test.

Good luck to you both next time!
