You can take all of the accounting courses online in Santa Monica College. That's what I did to fulfill the 24 semester Accounting units in California.

As long as your state allows the course, any college course is ok. I met my minimum using several on line courses.

only take the classes to get the credits. Thats it.
Most teachers these days are lazy so most accounting classes are straight book knowledge. If preparing for the cpa exam is the primary objective then just use the cpa review materials or if you need knowledge in a specific area just use the textbook that is used in the class.
