I took my exams during my masters program. First exam in October, last exam in Feb. It didn't interfere w/ school at all... you have so much time. And after you pass the exam, studying for the masters program is a joke, nothing in comparison. And chances are you know all the stuff anyways, from studying for the exam.

I'd take BEC first cuz you'll be pretty familiar with the content. Switch AUD with BEC, and close up the time frame and I like it.

Im going to try this path, looks like everyone has this study plan thought out well..

2010 -

BEC - July 8th (study last 2 weeks of May, 4 weeks in June, 1 week in July) and take it on the 8th.  (7 weeks total study for about 200 hours)

AUD - Aug - 29th (study 3-4 weeks in July, 4-5 weeks in August, take it on the 29th. (8 weeks aprox, 230 hours)

REG - Nov 15th (study 5 weeks in sept, 4 weeks in oct, 2 weeks in Nov) (11 weeks total for aprox 300 hours)

2011-

FAR - Feb 15th- (2 weeks in Nov, 3 weeks in dec, 5 weeks in jan, 2 weeks in feb. (12 weeks total for 320 hours)

No relationships, very very small social life, just study, study and study.

I don't see much point in putting REG in between AUD and FAR. AUD and FAR overlap a lot, so I think that it makes more sense to take those consecutively.

Allegro,

I wouldn't put FAR off until 2011 unless you're comfortable with IFRS.

Also, you could probably get all four sections done a lot quicker with the amount of time you plan on studying.  200-300hrs per section is way too much, in my opinion.

Kfan,

The beauty of the way the Exam is set up now is that it allows different viewpoints as to the order in which to take the sections.  Personally, I am taking REG followed by FAR, and I just finished AUD.

My order makes perfect sense for my situation.  I took Auditing and Taxation courses to satisfy my academic deficiency, therefore AUD and REG are still in my mind. so these topics came first.  I have had many years of practical experience, so many of the FAR topic come naturally to me.  I got my BA in Economics, so I decided to do BEC last.

My point being is what works for one person may not work, or even make sense for someone else.  I mentioned in a prior post in this thread that this is a personal choice based upon one's unique situation.  IMO, you can certainly suggest a order to a person based on your own experience, but unless you really know the inquirer, it may be best to let them figure it out themselves.

Cheers!
