Do not study for more than 2 sections.  I would study for BEC and FAR.  This would be my plan:

Jan, Feb, March, and April: Study for FAR.  This may seem like a lot of time, but it's really not.

May, June: Study for BEC.

July: Take a month and review FAR. Skim the chapters, review your notes, and go through the multiple choice questions 2 more times.  Sit for the FAR section August 1.

From August 2-August 30 review BEC.  Sit for that section August 31.

I don't agree to necessarily start studying as early as possible. You may burn out if you do that. I think that it's better to study effectively during a shorter period than to endlessly draw out the process. If you study hard in your regular accounting classes, that will be pretty good prep for the exam, and then focus more on the cpa exam as you get closer to testing. That's my two cents.

If anything start planning now. If it were me I'd sit for all 4 sections in one shot (same testing window), helps to get that cpa exam out of the way ASAP then you can focus 100% on your career. Not easy to do but way worth it.

plan your study schedule out, write it down, set goals and accomplish those goals. If you fall behind, put in extra hours to catch up. You have to be focused but you can do it.

If you don't pass any of the sections just retake it in the next testing window.

I started studying my last quarter of college, which happened to be the summer. I was taking 23
credits but the classes weren't too demanding (Anthropology, Russian, Econometrics, Int.
Microeconomic Theory, Business Strategy). I think studying a pair of sections at once is a good
thing. I studied AUD and FAR concurrently and would highly recommend it. The concepts
complement each other incredibly well and help you prevent burn out from getting bogged down in
the material of one section. I also studied for REG and BEC concurrently but I didn't feel the same
synergies that I did with AUD and FAR.

However, if I were to go back and do it again I would have probably deferred the studying. Enjoy
your last semester of college because the real world isn't nearly as fun. I always thought exam week
was bad, but these 70+ hour work weeks are significantly worse. You can start studying but also
remember to enjoy your last weeks of college while you can.
