Hi robert-  certain states require you to pass an ethics exam which is just an open book test of about 20 multiple choice questions that you can either take online or on paper and mail it in.  It's pretty straightforward and most people finish it within a day or even a few hours or less.  I would first check to see if your state requires this exam, as not all do.  I know there's a thread on this topic on the main forum on this site that you can read through.  But like I said - check your state board's website first to see if you have to even take it.
