I JUST CALLED NASBA..ACCORDING TO THE GIRL ON THE PHONE NO SCORES WILL BE RELEASED UNTIL LAST WEEK OF FEBRUARY - BEGINNING OF MARCH...??? WTF!! ???  WHY ARE THEY WAITING SO LONG

Unfortunately, incorrect information has been received before when calling into NASBA.  I am waiting to hear more from my contact and will post here when I receive any news:

Remember, there are many changes coming down the line come 2011, not only is the AICPA doing an overhaul on the content/structure of the exam itself, they are also revisiting the score release process and even what constitutes a passing score.

There will most likely be blimps along the way in 2010...where what has happened in the past may not be relied upon as an indication of the future.

I only hope they keep this period of transition as transparent as possible so you all can be properly informed.

Hello,

I read from the traffic on this particular post about how they schedule the windows so if a candidate fails a section they can try to pass it in the next window. My question is this; I'm waiting for my score too for BEC from Window 1 does that mean that if I failed that I would have to stop working on FAR to retake BEC? Can't I decide when I want to take BEC again? How does this all work? It sounds like I would have to pass BEC before I can sit for another section. It this true.

Thanks,

handsewnquilts:  You definitely don't have to retake the one you failed in the following window (people would only do this out of convenience).  Once you failed one, you reschedule it whenever is convenient for you, in any window you choose (getting all passed in 18 months).  If you have another section already lined up you can prepare for that one.

Hope this helps.

Thank you MyTimeWillCome. I've only started studying FAR since I tested for BEC at the end of January and I feel a bit overwhelmed already. I've told myself that I just started studying about two weeks ago. It just feels like I've been studying forever already and just want to feel like I'm making some kind of progress. I think because I took a look at how the simulations were formatted and thought "what did I get myself into?" But, I'm going to do this, it may take me some time but I'm going to do it!!!! Sorry for venting to you; but my family, as supportive as they are, really don't understand the stress and anxiety of what we as candidates are going through studying all of this.

Btw, good luck on the 27th on BEC.
