It really depends on your background too. I got my bachelors and masters in accounting so the only parts I were not familiar with were governmental and not for profit accounting.

Personally I studied 4-6 weeks for FAR, 4 weeks for REG, 3 Weeks for Audit and about 2.5 weeks for BEC.  Just a small caveat, I did nothing but study during this time (I was in transition between graduation and my start date)  I'm not sure how many hours I spent studying to be honest, but if I were to guess, 150-200 for FAR, about 150 for REG, 100-120 for AUD, and maybe 50-80 for BEC.

As I said before, it really depends on the person. I'd say almost 80-85% of the material I studied I had already seen in college so the concepts made sense to me. If you do not have that core accounting knowledge, you'll more than likely need to study longer.

I got my bachelors in accounting and masters in economics and it's been awhile since I have completed my bachelors degree. I think I have to study more hours than you for sure. Thank you so much for all the information. You made me plan my study hours and I am ready to roll.

I agree with what's been posted here.  I would start with REG or FAR, (whichever you feel weaker in), and finish with BEC and AUD.  BEC and AUD have the least amount of material to cover, IMO.

New laws coming into effect 2011

You definately need to make FAR a priority to pass first

so try and do that and BEC in your first attempt

In the unlikely event you fail you have three more windows to resit

until the new regulations come into effect.

Take two per window, and one in each month, so after doing the first exam, u still have at most 80-90 days to still study for the other part.

Good luck

Lets beat this for 2010
