Dear Vdesi,

Can I use ECE education valuation report to submit illinois Board instead of submitting my original transcripts and degrees?

Besides, If I transfer CPA result from California Board to Illinois Board and assume that I will get CPA certificate from Illinois state, can I come back those two states (CA or IL) and ask for granting CPA LICENSE if I have enough 2 years' experience then?

Thank you.

Illinois performs it's own evaluation, it does not accept any other evaluations.

By the way, California only requires 1 year experience for the CPA license if you have 150 semester hours. Illinois requires 150 semester hours to sit for the exam.

Dear Sarasota,
Once you get a CPA Certificate you will need to have one year of experience (under any one) to get a permit to practice.
Another option I am considering if heaven forbid IL Board does not grant me the necessary 150 credits is to apply to Colorado Board under education equivalent under rule 2.5.
I wish you all the best.

@txh2064,
I think you can do it but before doing anything else call the IL Board of Examiners and ask them.
You need to first get your credentials evaluated from IL Board of Examiners.
I assume you will get your scores transferred so you will need to send an application to your State coordinator as well.

Hi Vdesi,

Did you submit the Original, official transcripts and degrees? Does that mean that after the evaluation, the Illinois Board will return all the official, original documents you submitted and an evaluation report?

In addition, what is the Official English translation? Can I use my English version of notarized public degrees and transcripts as the official ones?

In my case, I passed 4 parts already. Should I submit the documents for 150 hours evaluation first, and then based on the evaluated result, I will send application for the CPA certificate as well as as Board of California to send my scores to Illinois Board. can this process be done by June 30?

Thank you so much for you response.
