Dear Vdesi,

Thanks for your kind reply.

I also do want to have that magic word with my name. But I had already applied to New Hampshire and I am looking forward to transfer my grades (after I pass the exam) to IL for getting the certificate. But it will not be possible for me to put in papers for IL before the deadline 6/30/2010.

I heard that Florida and Montana are also two-tier states and they may give certificates as soon as we pass the exam (Of course with a credit of 150 semester hours). Do you have any idea?

I was a Montana Candidate, but not live in US. For you to get Montana Certificate, it requires you to have SSN. If you live in US and has SSN. I think you are fine in Montana, otherwise, go with IL if you can make it before Jun 30, this yr.

I would like to apply the certification in IL and I know I must file an application with the Division of Professional Regulation no later than June 30, 2010. I am wondering if I get my score in the middle of June online, do I still have enough time filing the application? Is it possible that I file the application first once I get my passing scores and then hand in the supporting document afterwards?

Hi vdesi

Any news from IL board? I recently passed my exams and want to get the 3 magic letter after my name too. I send my application to IL a week ago, and do you think I still can make it before Jun 30?
Thanks,

Hi guys, I have received the IL board approval on certificate. Now I wanna apply the license on option "no experience", so could I only submit my application and certificate number to the department?

Thanks a lot!

Dear Sarasota,
Once you get a CPA Certificate you will need to have one year of experience (under any one) to get a permit to practice.
Another option I am considering if heaven forbid IL Board does not grant me the necessary 150 credits is to apply to Colorado Board under education equivalent under rule 2.5.
I wish you all the best.

vdesi did Il board grant you the necessary 150 credits?I am a B.Com,M.Com and Icwai.Just wondering if I should apply for IL board or is it just a waste of time. Thanks in advance.
