An MA?  An MA in what?  Unless you tell us what the MA is in, it is difficult to compare to an MBA.

I think the original poster means an MS, not MA.  An MA is not something that an account would usually have.

I think he means Master of Accounting Vs. MBA.

Its generally called MAcc.

ok, I got you.  I thought he was referring to a Master of Arts vs. a master of science in accounting.

The value of an MBA skyrockets if it is from a top 10 or top 20 school.  A Wharton/ Harvard/ Standford/ Chicago, etc. MBA is far superior than the best Macc in terms of earning potential and prestige.
