MS is usually "cheaper" and less time-consuming than an MBA.  If you just want to get the 150 hour requirement, then do MS.  If you can get into a top MBA program or your employer is willing to pay for your MBA, then by all means, go for the MBA.  I completed my MS in about one year at half the cost of an MBA.  I plan to do MBA in Mgmt. or IT in the future if/when I can find an employer who offers tuition reimbursement.  Otherwise, forget about it.

The only problem with the Macc is that it does not include any business credits so before you enroll, make sure you already have 36 business credits under your belt.

Actually, many schools are now offering 1 year MBAs.  Northwestern has a 1 year program.

there are not many employers reimbursing 100% nowadays. I think PT MBA is pretty useless, its tiring to work and study for 3 years and not have the degree mean much.

Agreed, unless you need the degree to satisfy accounting education requirements to take the CPA exam.  Top (Ivy league quality) MBA programs don't offer nearly enough accounting classes to satisfy CPA requirements if you don't already have an undergraduate degree in accounting.
