Don't some states let people with 150 hours become CPAs without work experience?  I think MA does.

You don't want to get the license though until you have some kind of decent full time job. Otherwise, you have to pay fees and pay for CPE. You don't want to be doing that while unemployed or underemployed.

In NY, you are not subject to CPE requirements in your first 3-year registration period.  You have to renew your registration every 3 years, and you become subject to the CPE requirements beginning with your second 3-year registration period.

I passed the exams but do not have the 1 year work experience (I am in NJ) , let us say MA does not have the work experience requirement , do I have to live in MA to put CPA on my resume

I am in that kind of situation , passed exams - do not have license - how much time do I have to get my license - before my exam credit expires - do the exam credits expire?
