Dear CPAnet Admin,

Could you please throw some light on this one? Do you think we should take the email seriously?

Thanks for your help!

Hai pseudcaltech

yeah, I too received the same email, which you are mentioning. It had the links to NACES members page and NASBA application status login.

I don't think it is an error or a spam.

I was aware of the new rule, but I thought its applicable for those who are applying for the first time. After receiving this mail, I am totally confused.

I am not sure, what they are expecting from us.

Hey All,

I am sailing in the same boat. I have 2 papers to go this month, and I have to re-register for AUD. BTW the mail is not a spam and the evaluations have to be done.

I had called up at the CO office, and they said, you can write the exams and she wasnt sure if the results would be blocked or no. But to get the final certificate, you have to get this evaluation done.

My question is, does anyone know what type of report is needed for the Educational evaluation? There are a variety of reports offered by the listed Agencies (with varying fees ofcourse).

Deepa

Hi all,

I am in the same situation as all of you.Just spoke to candidate service representative regarding the email. He confirmed that we can goahead and write the exam with present NTS.When i asked about the fate of result declaration he said that we need to email the colorado state co-ordinator about it.

Regarding the credentials evaluation he said it has to be done ASAP.when asked about the details he guided me to Nasba website->exams->cpa exam->jurisdiction map enter colorado-co->exam  requirements->transcripts ->

applicable portion:
------------------------------------------------------------ ------------

III. Applicants who completed educational requirements at institutions outside the U.S. must;
  • have their educational credentials evaluated by the Foreign Academic Credentials Service or by any other member organization of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). For a list of these services visit the web site at www.naces.org .
  • obtain the form to request this service from the evaluation service.
  • submit to CPA Examination Services the original evaluation. The evaluation of a foreign transcript must be a course by course comparison to Colorado requirements. The evaluation must be received directly from the evaluation service. Photocopies are not accepted.
  • mail original evaluation to CPA Examination Services - CO, 150 Fourth Avenue North, Suite 700, Nashville, TN, 37219.
  • If required documentation is not received, the application will be determined to be incomplete and the candidate will not be permitted to take the examination and will forfeit the application fee paid.
------------------------------------------------------------ -------
I have no experience with these evaluation agencies.Anyone pls guide about the process.Do we need to contact each and every educational institute to receive the transcripts ?

I appreciate your co-operation.
thanks.
