Hi friends ,

Even iam stuck with this same tsunami. Actually i spoke with an ECE rep and he told me that they have experience in dealing with CA certificates for the past 1 year but from their way of answering to my questions they dont sound that familiar with the docs. But they are pretty much faster than anyone else, we can get our report in just 5 business days for som 200 bucks and also they dont require any copies mailed to them instead u can fax them the docs . FACS on the other hand doesnt allow u to send fax copies to them and also they take min 4-6 weeks for processing !!!!

This is my understanding of the two evaluation agencies. Please lemme know what u all think about it !!

and also iam a B.Com graduate + CA + CWA( with  group  IV still due ) . Will i b in a better position if i send my copies for evaluation ??

Is anyone of you reached to the conclusion which agency to select?

Alright... FACS is my choice.

1. It gets it done in 6 weeks approx.

2. You can send originals to them directly, or even notarized copies (from specific notarizing auth only). And they will send them back, when they are done with them.

3. The fee for getting this done is 100 dollars.

4. Spoke to CO office, they are fine with FACS too.

Looks good to me. Anyone with another good option, plz post.

(ps. WES is a no no, coz first of all they insist on transcripts to be sent by the institute directly. and they r charging $160.)

I spoke to a rep now & have the
following info:1. If you have a valid NTS, you can go
ahead & take the exam. But if you wanna apply for an NTS
now, you have to get your transcripts evaluated first
(they'll deny you an NTS). And like what others have
said, they don't say anything about the scores. They have
asked me to reply on the same email id (<span
id="PresenceContainer">cpaexam@nasba.org) to find
out</span>2. The new rule is for all candidates who are
registered now. It doesn't matter whether you registered
before Oct 24th or not3. In case you have a valid NTS &
are taking your last section, you can definitely take the
exam but you can not get a license till you complete this
process4. Candidates are advised to start with the
process immediately (even for those who have a valid NTS
now) so that by the time you are ready to apply for a new
NTS for the next exam, your transcripts would hopefully
be evaluated & you would be done with this process. This
would not affect your existing NTS/examsRegarding
evaluation process, i do not know much right now, except
for the fact that it takes around 6-8 weeks. Once i am
done with my REG exam on 6th, i am starting the process &
hoping to get this done before i can schedule for my last
section in Apr 2010.

I am a CA and have cleared 3 papers. I had to appear for
FAR this month. On 2nd Feb, the representative I spoke
to informed that I can go ahead and give the exam but I
should also submit the foreign evaluation report asap.
However, when I spoke to a representative on 3rd Feb, he
told me that I cannot appear for the exam and that they
will need my foreign evaluation report first to determine
eligibilty. I also wrote to cpaes-co@nasba.org but havnt
heard from them. They dont even have a phone number
which one can contact. Has anyone got any inputs from
cpaes?? Can I take the exam??

You should email them on cpaexam@nasba.org. They respond to the emails in 2-3 business days. I got it confirmed through email that i will be allowed to take the exam. It should not be a problem. If you have already sent an email just wait for them to reply if it is not 3 days yet. Also write to them asking if they are going to release your scores on time.
