I know your post has been up a while, but I got my MBA from a school that was ranked #10 the year I graduated. I went straight to grad school after I got my bachelors; my undergraduate degree was in Business Administration. I guess it was useful in getting my foot in the door when I first started working, as the only experience I had was in internships. Other than that, for me, it feels like a waste of time.

I ended up in a career with which I wasn't satisfied. After 2 years I decided to go back to school for accounting. But my experiences/opinions aren't for everyone. It seems to me that the MBA is a great credential to have if you plan to keep your career in the corporate arena, but it does little more than to sound fancy on a business card if you eventually want to go into business for yourself. Just my opinion.

My MBA is from Northwestern, and I have to say it opened a few doors for me early in my career.  I'm now working on the CPA exam for the later parts of my career.

IESE (University of Navarra) is the best and has the highest rank. It's #1 according to the Economist, and is pretty high in just about every journal that rates international MBA programs.
