Am I being stupid?  I will only have time in late August to take the exam, if I can take it at all in the July/August window.  I'll be graduating college in May, taking Auditing and Advanced Accounting as summer classes ending June 25th.  NTS won't be received for 4-6 weeks.

A professor recommended that I take two sections in the same week sometime towards the end of August, if I can.  I wanted to get the two hardest out of the way first.

Don't do it. I'd either do FAR-AUD or REG-BEC. You'll go out of your mind from too much material if you do FAR and REG together, plus you'll get confused about different rules for book and tax. It's hard enough remembering the monetary exchange rules for one or the other, but to try to retain both simultaneously would be futile.

Thank you for your reply.

I was a little worried about doing FAR and AUD together considering that
they were both the longest exams.

They used to make you take all 4 sections in one weekend or something.

Now that you don't have to, so you might as well make it easier and take
one at a time.

According to this sheet I got in Roger Philipp's prep course, the minimum
recommended amount of hours to study for REG is 72. I studied 85 hours
for it and passed. The minimum for FAR is 96 and I know I need to study
more than 96 to get the material down.

That's at least 170 hours of studying, and FAR and REG require a ton of
stuff to remember. I found the material in Audit to be easier to absorb.
REG drove me nuts, FAR is driving me crazy. .

That'd be insane. But people used to take all 4. And I personally know a few people that passed ALL 4 back in the day (when you couldn't take them individually).

I'd recommend FAR and one of the easier sections (BEC/AUD).
