Here is a big 4 question. Say you want to increase your chances of getting hired by big4 by working outside the US? If there are jobs in the UK, can a US citizen apply for these jobs? If there are jobs in Dubai, can a US citizen leave and apply there? Maybe there are on-campus recruiters that specialize in international offices?
I mean if Japan, Turkey or Russia has jobs available, how do US students get a chance to apply?

A lot of employers prefer you to have public accounting experience, but in my region it is very hard to even get an INTERVIEW with a lot of public accounting firms. If you can get scholarships to get your MACC then great. However, if you have to pay for it yourself I would really talk to some of the people in the program and see what kind of luck they're having securing employment. I know plenty of people coming out with another $10k or more in debt who thought that a MACC was guaranteed employment who aren't finding anything.

Well I definitely agree, getting your MACC isn't a guarantee by any means. But at least for the Big 4, a majority of the recruiting happens on campus. I know very few people that got into Big 4 starting from private or a mid tier firm, and every single one had some kind of connection. If you get into a MACC program where the Big 4 recruits from, have good grades (3.4+), and have some experience, I would say you have a good chance of at least getting an interview. After that, it's a matter of your interviewing skills. All I'm saying is if MACC is an option for you, and you're set on Big 4, that's your best route.

Do you increase your chance of getting big4 if your internship the summer before a MACC is from Crowe ,BDO, or RSM?

Yea. But if you've interviewed with them before for internships and will likely meet the same people again for FT interviews, then I wonder what your odds are?

Completely different economy, different taxation rules, different auditing standards... unless you already know the nuances of those economies, working outside the US comes 3-4 years after working for the firm. I do know that some Big 4 firms (ie. KPMG) offer the opportunity to spend part of your internship outside of the U.S. My friend did so in China, granted she is Chinese, but it is something Big 4 Firms are looking into to secure interns full time.
