Do you still have the score analysis reports from the times you failed FAR? Were you weak in the same areas all 3 times? Or was it a case of being weak in one area the first time, then strong in that area the next time at the expense of what had been your strength previously?
Don't order the Wiley 14th edition. That's the 2009 set. Make sure that you get the current years' material. The little bit of money you save by ordering last year's course will wind up being the most expensive discount you will ever get.
You can order the 4-part Becker and have them ship some parts now, some parts later. If you are concerned that you may wind up failing a section and having to postpone completion until 2011 this would be something to consider. Regardless, especially when you get to REG, make sure you download the current updates and make the pen-and-ink changes. Tax laws in effect on January 1st of each year are testable on July 1st.
I used the entire Becker package - CD-Rom Course (now DVD), Flash Cards, and Final Review. Flash cards were a big help - I kept them on my desk at work in business card trays, so that there was never a "down time" moment in any day when I was not studying. I wrote the question on the back of each card, right above the answer, so that I could see the topic of the moment at a glance.
Becker Final Review was good. After trying to learn everything, it helped me focus on the biggest need-to-know areas, and gave me more testing practice.
However, Becker Final Review is more of a reminder course than a teaching course. I would strongly suggest that, if you have Becker parts you are just not grasping, you order the Yaeger CRAM.
