Thank you for your responses, jpeek & 2Old4this !!
If I skip the FAR exam and focus on BEC for this window and I'm counted as a 'no-show' on the FAR exam, does that create a problem when I apply for the FAR NTS for the next window? I'm leaning towards focussing on BEC now but don't want to mess up my chances for reapplying for FAR.
Kudos to both of you for going ahead and taking the test anyway. I'm not sure I have the courage to do that, but if I absolutely need to, to prevent messing the next NTS, I will have to, but I really don't want to waste time on something I know I won't clear.
Thank you again for your responses !!

In my opinion, I think you should take the FAR exam since you've paid for it. I believe the advantage is you will have gotten a glimpse of what to expect when you do study. If you are more than 30 days out for BEC, you should push it out for a couple of weeks at no extra charge.
