Then why you still took the CFA III?  At least, you think CFA+CPA can give you more edges than the average CPAs?

if you are talking about relative difficutly, then CFA is much much harder then CPA.

But looking at the current economic conditions I would say CPA is better then CFA. CFA or no CFA now a days every company is firing and no body is hiring in the finance industry. If you complete your cpa you will definetly get a decent job because it covers a much broader sector.

Thats just my opinion and can be wrong

Yeah you are right man if you have both  cfa and cpa, you will definitely have an edge on just a cpa.

But currently I am none. I failed in my CFA level III and I am waiting for Regs result which I hope that i will pass but still i am waiting..

The discussion was which one is better, so actually i was not talking about cfa+cpa but was talking about cfa vs cpa...

But right now does'nt matter if you are a cfa or a cpa market is really really cruel out there... w

Why bother with CFA /CPA or MBA? It is not what you have behind your name, what you have studied. But it is all about who you know? How good looking you are? What type of work attitude you have? And if you are born under a lucky star? These will get you far in your career and salary packages.
If you are ugly, even with a CPA, CFA, BA, MBA, MSc, PhD will not help you.
If you have poor work attitude (i.e. lazy, show-off, no emotional intelligence, going to work late, a 9-5 politician and gossiper), words will go around and you will not go anywhere.
Finally, its all about WHO you know. If you go to night-spot and mix with drunks, all you get are people who party, yes they have a life, but goaless in life. So go out and mix with high society people.

Maybe some people can't change the way they look so they like to improve their smarts? lol..  :)

If you don't want to work in the investment management field, CFA is not worth it. You have to sacrifice your social life for 2-3 years (at least) and then you need 4 years of investments related experience in order to put the letters behind your name.

RAIN you can actually get certified with audit experience.  If you wan to work in Big 4 advisory, then you want to consider the CFA.
