hi, I am currently holding the F2 visa in the USA. I want to take the cpa and hope later to get a job with the cpa certificate.

I wonder whether i am eligible for the certificate after passing the exam, as I don't have SSN, no working permit.

second, is it likely that corporations would hire me and sponser my H1 visa when I have the cpa certificate?

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

hi f2.cpa.nc

Are you applying for the F2 visa? I came to US on the same visa in May 2005. I faced the interview in Mar this year. F2 is the easiest visa to get. The questions mainly circled around whether your marriage is genuine and whether the F1 holder has sufficient funds to maintain you in US.

I appeared the interview at the Mumbai Consulate. For authenticity of marriage they carefully saw the wedding album. They asked questions about my in-laws : their names, occupation etc. They asked everything regarding my husband's ongoing PhD - the main subject, school etc. They asked me why I wanted to go to US. What do I do in India? And main stress was whether my husband had sufficient funds to maintain me. The available funds are definitely given on the I-20 form, yet they ask about the bank statements. But it is quite easy and almost everybody gets it.

let me know if you have any other questions.

Good Luck!!

Dear cpa aspirant,

Thanks a ton for that reply.

Ya , i have applied for the F-2 visa and will take an interview date as soon as i recieve my I-20 from my husband's school.Ya, i too will apply at the mumbai consulate.

Hey actually i was very very tense abt the visa interview thing.

My husband is already in the us and i am alone here...Ya i am with my in-laws, but still feel very very alone here.

So was feeling very very afraid abt the interview and had also not heard abt anyone's experiences...with the F-2

there are many H-4 visa holders around...

but almost none F-2 visa holders.

Thanks a lot lot once again for that help....Can never thank you enough.

Wish you the very best in all you do.My best wishes are always with you.

If you have any more tips for the interview do write in.....

Regards.
