Hey,

Don't worry at all. I know a couple of girls who have come to US on F2. They haven't had any problems. Take your entire wedding album esp the reception one. Take it even it is too big. They prefer photos which have guests with the wedded couple. Know everything about your in-laws and husbands studies, as I told earlier. They'll even ask you when you intend to travel. Prefer to wear Indian dress to interview. Don't take any poly bags etc. Be on time but expect delay of an hour or two from your appointed time.

And one more thing, compare the photos of your husband in his visa/passport and in the wedding. Sometimes they look different esp if your husband was wearing a turban on his head at wedding. Make sure you've photographs that match. This problem happened with my bhabhi as well as with me. So take care.

When you'll come to US you'll have to face similar questions with the immigration officer.

If you are going to personally submit your application and take an  appointment for interview, go to the application centre quite early in the morning, so  the queue  won't be too long. Double check your draft. Because they did not accept my draft with a small mistake. I had enough cash so I got a new draft made at the application centre itself.

Last, I know how we feel when we are at our in-laws place, without our husband. I went through it recently. Don't feel alone or get tensed.

Good luck!!

hi,

One more thing, don't tell the consulate people that you intend to do CPA or work in US. With F1/F2, our intent should be to return back to India, as soon as the studies are over.
