I use Becker so I don't know if that actually makes a difference between what you might be using...but i would guess the approach would be similar.
BEC, I would say is probably the easiest to study for, just becuase the topics are pretty diverse and it's a relatively short(er) read compared to the other 3. I did from scratch in 4 weeks (3 weeks while working, and last week i took off work). First 3 weeks I read the book thoroughly. Fawk the video's, waste of time. I read the book while watching hockey, Dexter etc...so it wasn't really a full 3 weeks of hardcore studying...and it was after work so mostly read a coupla pages, nap for 20 minutes, repeat. The last week however, was hardcore...nothing but MCQ's. Make notes as you do them. Committing something to paper even though you'll never make out your chicken scratch again, helps you to memorize questions you got wrong. After the first round i skim through the text again paying attn to weak areas identified from the MCQ's. Just a few hours skimming the whole book is enough. Then do the questions and do it a third time if you have time. I did this part 8+ hours a day. Take the last day off, rest your mind, cuz you'll be burnt out.
This might not work for everyone, but it seems to work with me. In fact, i don't even bother with memorizing the long calculation questions...it's predominately a theory based component. Those are just bonus for me if i guess right. I did BEC in 1hr 5 minutes and that's with time spent reviewing cuz i thought i was missing a section of something. Not bragging but just to give you an idea of how much time you really have. It's alot of theory, so don't sweat the calculation questions. Pay attn to technology bits, division of labour in the IT dept. that kind of thing, it's not part of the core Becker topics, but it is in the homework reading....don't skip those, they're important! Good luck.
