I am using Becker's 2008 for BEC. I know there were no any major changes from previous years to 2010 in BEC book.

I was wondering, are there any major changes in IT part. I remember Becker intoduced addition reading on there website in 2009 for IT section. Most of people said it was useless.

So, is it ok if I use 2008 Book for IT section as well or should I need 2010 book?

I don't have an answer to your question RR_CPA as I'm using Becker 2009... but I believe that whichever book you use, please refer to http://www.scribd.com/doc/22122321 for your IT preparation.. These IT notes , which I believe are extremely helpful, were posted earlier by Aiman(one of the students that scored high on the CPA exams)..Certain concepts not covered by Becker and addressed by Wiley are included in these notes... I thought of posting it again so that it can be of use to future BEC exam takers..

When is your exam? Mine is on 27th July and though I've started my preparation, I've yet to get really serious about this.... I'm getting very tensed up... but one of my professors said that its impossible to fail if we do the Becker passmaster questions atleast thrice..... so that's yet to be seen.

I haven't taken the date yet, waiting for my NTS, but I am planning to take my exam around mid of July.

I have finished CH 1, 2 and 5. Today I am going to start IT section and will try to finish in 4-5 days (with full time job).

I am also planning to finish whole meterial by the end of this month with atleast 2 times passmaster practice.

@ RR_CPA- I believe you had appeared for REG a couple of days back..How did it go? Did you find a couple of questions similar to the ones that you did in Becker? I'm just asking b'coz I want to get a fair idea what to expect in BEC since its gonna be my first exam and I realllllly wanna pass to get a boost.

@ joecjr- Chapters 1 and 4 are purely theoretical and one tends to get bored studying a lot of theory at once... so what I do is I split my time between theory and computations... For example, on one day  I study a bit of Chapter 4- IT, then work and concentrate on a few computations in Chapter 5...I personally find it very difficult to concentrate on pure theory for a couple of days... Let's see how it goes when its time to take Audit..
