Becker is great don't get me wrong.
But I do better on all the math questions when I throw all their formulas for cost accounting out the window. The formulas in Chapter 3 are either know it or don't. But the chap 5 formulas, if you're good at basic math and reading a question, it's cake.
I'll skim through chapter 5 and what sticks for math/formulas sticks, but I'm putting FAR more emphasis on chapter 3 formulas (computer WACC, ratios, etc) which you CANNOT rationalize, than chapter 5.
Again I'd try to apply Becker formulas, getting 60-70%s... then just said, screw it. And scored 90%+ from then on out... except when Becker gave me one of those 3-4 paragraph, 1 giant table, PV table, and 3 sentence question, questions... I just randomly selected an answer and was like, "LOL, CPA will not give me a question like that. Waste of time."
