several of you contacted me by mail. Heres an update:
I spoke to the CO board a few times...a helpful guy called Alan Cantrell. He suggested that the 'education in lieu of experience' would help to get licensed, considering my background.
Since our education is outside US, it needs to be evaluated by a credential evaluator who is a member of NACES group (www.naces.org). Went thru this list and Alan recommended Facs(facsusa.com) and Joseph Siley (jsilny.com) as having good experience with evaluating CA.
I spoke to both, was more impressed with Facs. Evaluation cost for CO is $100. Sent my Bcom,CA, CS - inter, final and m'ship certs along with the sylabbus. Was not comfortable sending originals by mail (good luck getting those replaced if lost!) and they agreed for notarised copies. My employer has an inhouse notary so got copies notarised and send them out.
Within 10 days, got their report that my BCom,CA/CS were sufficient to meet Rule 2.5 of CO. I dont know if my CS made any difference or if only a Bcom & CA is sufficient. Tried asking the evaluator but they give their standard reply that each case is specific and they can't comment until their receive the evaluation docs (and the chq of course)!
Sent my licensure application along with the report to Alan at the CO board and he confirmed that the rule was satisfied. Now i am just waiting for the CO Board to meet and approve my licensure application.
Hope this helps guys!
