same problem here, it is just too much material to be able to cover the material as I did in BEC and REG. In those 2 sections, I did the lectures then the homework, after that I read the book and I did homework for second time. and the last 4 days and practice combine chapters.

With FAR there isn't way to do that unless i want to spend 3-4 month preparing.

My strategy is lecture for one chapter in one day, next day read the book and take note, third day do the homework (2 days). Every 3 chapter planning to take one day for practice questions from the 3 chapters. that is going to take me until mid october. The last 10 days I will go crazy practicing questions over and over and a lot of pray.

That is the best I will be able to do in my situation. I pray it will be enough. Waking up at 4:30 everyday is killing me :) But I know I am not the only one :)

When I started studying I took detailed notes. I literally rewrote the book. After 2 weeks I only had 2 chapters completed. I then noticed that many of the questions covered material not in the chapters. So I took less detailed notes. Still after that it took two weeks to get through 2 chapters. I told a CPA how was studying. He said, "Oh good luck with that." Then told me he only did the questions. I also realized that since its been 4 weeks do I even remember what was in the first chapters. Nope. I started over. I realized then I still need notes but the way I was doing it would take me about a year to go through just FAR. So I developed a spreadsheet that would automatically mark correct or incorrect. I left a column for additional explanations of the question and another column why my thinking was right or wrong. So basically I put my notes on the SS. Because of space limitations I kept the notes brief and to the point.

Last week I cleaned out my computer room. I threw away several legal size notebooks just stuffed with notes. I also threw away the notes in a letter sized 3 ringed note book that was about 3 inches thick.

I could not believe how much I had written and by hand.

Thank goodness I talked to that CPA.
