Hey all,

What is the best software for a single practicing CPA to get for tax
preparation? Which software is recognized as the best in terms of
Reasonable cost, annual updates, accuracy etc.?

Thanks!

We use ProSeries, it is priced very reasonable compared to others with unlimited e-filing and our package comes with a fixed asset manager and research.

Thanks Brenda!  I will look into that, anyone else have any suggestions?  I really wasn't expecting any responses at this point.

TaxAct has a professional tax program that I have used for the past 3 years. It is very reasonable for the federal and all states. You can either pay seperatly for each electronic return or pay a set fee. If you choose to pay for each return seperately you need less upfront cost. I have had no problems with it.

1/2 CPA,

Thanks for your valuable input.  I will check out TaxAct as well.
