After spending my summer studying and getting ready for two parts i feel burnt out. I want to get ready to take FAR on Nov 30 but i just can't get to it. i open the book and looks like mombo-jumbo. what do you guys do when this happens to you? how do you push forward and not put it off? I only have 8 weeks to do this and i really would love to get through FAR but the motivation isn't there. DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.HELP PLEASE.

you will feel even more miserable if you allow this funk to get the best of you
and let your parts expire. Don't be afraid of failure, but be very afraid of not
trying and giving it all your all. you can do this! many others have so can you.

MVSCPA,

Tell yourself this burnout feeling is only temporary. You MUST pick yourself up and continue to study. FAR may seem intimidating if you just "flip through" the book. It's not mombo-jumbo once you start reading and studying. Once you start reading it will make sense and I know you will find some parts that are very interesting to you.
Look at it from this perspective, November 30 is the last day of the exam window, then its 2011 window with all the new changes. Do you want to face the new changes or would you prefer to do FAR now considering that the two parts you already studied in 2010 can be related to FAR for 2010 and not related to FAR in 2011.
Think of the consequences and the initial rewards of getting FAR in 2010. You'll get your passing score around Christmas "priceless present". In 2011 that just leave you with REG. Please do not delay, get up go get your study materials and know that people in this forum are behind you.

I read somewhere on here where somebody started breaking the studying up into little chunks to help...check out the Motivation section. I read those entries anytime I feel down...

Thanks everyone, i really appreciate you guys taking the time. I think this process just is such a roller coster and preparing for it makes me sick in anticipation. I figured today will be the day and put one hour or so and hopefully double that tommorow till i am at my three to four hour rage daily. So enough is enough and i am going to start now lets see what happens. Thanks again everyone.
