I refuse to give up. I know I posted on this board somewhere that if I fail AUD (waiting!) I will quit...but I was just frustrated. I'm going to enjoy a carb coma on Thursday and start studying again for BEC...and hopefully REG (and NOT AUD Again)....ugh

Which state you are ?????
Maybe in future we can study or review the material together

Just got my audit score, 71 (Homer Simpson "DOH").  It's really frustrating, but I do strongly believe in what AccountingNerd wrote, "anyone who wants it bad enough can have it".  You just can't give up.  Someday we're going to think back to this time and say that it was all worth it.

AUD - 71

FAR - 68

We can't fail forever right?

NO! We can't fail FOREVER! It just feels like it.  My issue is that I have spent thousands of dollars on testing fees and study materials and worked my tail off between commuting/working/studying, ignoring my husband and family (my daughters are 21 and 23 so I'm not ignoring little kids) and I still can't pull down a 75. My husband has been patient for along time but he has said enough is enough.    I guess I'm going to have to study in secret and just tell him when its all over.  OMG! Is this how addiction feels?? =(

bashar: I live in Illinois.

@Score - I really give you a lot of credit.  I don't have a husband or children, and giving up my social life has been difficult enough.  What materials are you using?  I used the Becker course and then bought the Yaeger FAR CRAM.  I re-took FAR at the beginning of the month so I won't get that score for awhile, but the Yaeger material seemed to be a good supplement because there were things in Becker that just didn't make sense to me.  I know you've been at this a lot longer than I have, but I think you should keep at it.  I have faith that we all will pass as long as we keep trying.  BTW, does it not baffle you when you see someone get over an 80?  I'm like how the eff did you manage that?????????????  I know it frustrates me to no end. = )

I have used Wiley and Yaeger Cram and Gleim MCQs.  I really need to re-evaluate my entire study strategy/process.  I think I am going to do the Yaeger Home Study/CRAM package and supplement with Gleim MCQs for my next attempt at BEC.  I will admit that my last attempt at AUD (Nov 1) I only gave myself 3 weeks to review and thought "well, I am an auditor and I do it every day and i made a 69 last time so it will be fine"...obviously that didn't work.

My husband and I talked about it over dinner and we agreed that I am going to keep trying...but I'm going to take a break for a month or so...maybe re-take BEC in Feb.  I'm going to have some good news to post in 2011!!!  =)

Yea, I took BEC in January 2010 and I passed with a 75, but the last few exams that I took I have failed (65 on REG, 59 on Audit).

I retake REG today and I have a bad feeling about it.  I KNEW I should not have checked my Audit score, but I am going to just try to get through REG and then after finals I am going to regroup and try to get these done in 2011.

I have friends that have passed all four exams in one testing window on the first try, and I am like, how do you do it!? In between work, school and the CPA exam I feel overwhelmed.

I have Becker but I was thinking of switching to Roger CPA for 2011 but we will see.
