Score2010,

i ordered all 4 yaeger home study package as well. i need a change of scenery, not sure if yaeger is the answer but at least it gives me back some of that motivation i had when i first started taking these exams. also yaeger is a teaching course, which is something i probably need...not sure i learned it the first time around in college lol!

i just took AUD on 11/26 and expecting a loss. i'm studying AUD right now w/ becker until the yaeger material arrives to keep it fresh in my head. ima schedule AUD in jan (assuming i didn't pass) and BEC for feb.

it's not me to give up, i will pass the CPA...it's just a matter of time. hopefully, the next scores we add will be passing scores!!! btw, i'm in VA

Your BEC score will expire in August,
so you need to do this:

Get Roger for FAR, start studying January 1, and take it April 1.
That gives you 3 months.  You can do it!

Get Roger for Audit, study April 2-May 31.  Take it May 31.  After
you watch the Roger lectures (there's about 24 hours) do the MCQs in
the Wiley book at least 4 times.

Get Roger for Reg also, and study June 1- August 1 (or the last
day until your BEC score expires).

You don't want to take BEC again, so get everything done before
your score expires! I passed BEC, AUD, and REG w/ Roger.  I'm
using Yaeger for FAR, but don't know if I would use Yaeger again if i
fail FAR.

AccountingNerd:
How did you like Roger for Audit? How did you do in this part?
Would you recommend Roger for Audit?

Yes, I used Roger for Audit, and I thought it was pretty good.  I failed with a 71 the first time, but that was my own fault.  I sped through the test in a couple hours, thinking i was doing pretty good.  I wasn't reading the questions or the answers very carefully.

After I failed, I studied only the MCQs in the Wiley book for about 6 weeks, took it again and made an 80.  The key is to really know the Wiley material.  Roger doesn't go too in-depth with the material, but he's pretty entertaining.  I don't know if I would recommend him for FAR, where you really gotta know the complicated details.

You should use Becker and study religiously. You will pass if you
study enough.

It is a great feeling of accomplishment. I know I was elated and somewhat hyper. You put so much work, effort, and hope into it. It consumes you.

You absolutely must not leave any stone unturned. Assume nothing. don't assume you know what a term means. You have to know it. I went through 7 books about 3 times or more and spent a year and a half studying. I failed my first 3 tests because I wasn't astute enough to realize old material won't get the job done. Then I purchased new material and passed every section after.

All the best!
