I will be graduating in May and
hope to start a MACC program next year. My current GPA is
3.85 and I just recently took the GMAT and scored a 630.
The school that I am hoping to attend accepts MACC
students during the fall and spring semesters.

My main reason for doing a MACC is because my
undergrad school is a small school in a rural area and
has very little accounting recruiting happening. Would it
be better for me to start in the fall and go through
recruiting season or start in the spring and have some
classes done before the fall recruiting season starts?

It would depend if the program is 1 year or 2 years. If
it's two years, it may be a good idea to start in the
Fall to recruit for a Spring/Summer internship. This is
doable for you given your undergraduate accounting degree
and high GPA. Hopefully after receiving an offer after
the internship, you would come back and finish the degree
& complete the exams.

If it's a one year program, it would be better to start
in the fall to stay in cycle (recruit fall, graduate
spring/summer, and start position following fall).
