I just got my score back and also got a 71 on BEC.  I used Yaeger to study, and thought the review material was good.  I was nervous going in, but actually felt pretty good coming out of it.  The exam was definitly hard, but I felt that I was prepared as I was going through it.  I didn't see anything that I just completely didn't know.  There were a handful that I marked for review.  I guess now I'll just wait and see how I did on each section.

I do have limited time to study, as a lot of candidates do.  I have a 5 month old and a new job, so my studying is pretty limited to nights and weekends.  It's also been almost 10 years since I was in school, so I've had to relearn how to study.

I would like to try and review and sit for this one again early in 2011.  Does Yaeger do any updates for those who did not pass?  My study material is from 2010, but I know there are big changes for 2011.  Do I need to buy all new study material?

^^Skooby . . . I would say I studied a total of 5-6 weeks.  The first 2 weeks or so I was watching an hour or so of lecture every 2 days and doing the related questions.  The last 3 weeks I studied at least 2 hours a night, plus 5-6 hours on the weekends.  I would watch the lecture and review the book, and then do the related questions.  The last 2-3 days before the test I did numerous practice tests on the Wiley software.

I am really bummed.  I passed FAR and REG on first try and thought I had passed BEC with a better score than FAR or REG and was shocked that I ended up with a 73!!  That hurt!  Now I will have to cram for an early test in January and figure out the writing portion and changes for 2011.  They dropped the easy stuff Business Structures.  Becker does make things complicated.  I think I may have read to heavily on some of the exam questions and answered them wrong.  Ugghh.  Oh well...I am hitting the books again.

Hi Leonemaire:

Hang in there.....you were close.  Re-take it over again focusing on the areas were you felt you could have done better.

You got really good scores on FAR and REG which are two extremely hard parts.......what did you feel was different? Why do you think you did better in REG for example than BEC?

I think its just a little push and you will succeed.

Good luck.

I just don't understand why I didn't pass BEC.  When coming out of the exam I thought for sure I passed.  In fact I thought I did better than the other two.  With FAR and REG I was unsure.  Maybe it was the fact that I passed the first two on the first try and maybe was over confident??  Who knows.  I know business structures, economics, cost accounting but may have been light on IT.  It is very hard to tell.  I will know when I get the breakdown on how I did against the other candidates.  And Yes I will be pushing in 2011.
