I read Wall Street Journal daily, Journal of Accountancy monthly, and COSO stuff periodically or randomly.  (You can go to COSO.org for lots of info if you want it.)  I thought the COSO questions were very practical and realistic, and I knew them from my regular life.  I screwed up on my cost accounting stuff and that made me mad.  I missed some easy stuff there!  Argh, hating myself.  Later when I looked up a bunch of questions, I had gotten them all wrong.  My own fault.  Grrr.

I'm using the Wiley homework questions and the Roger CPA review (2010 material though).  Would you say that reviewing the internal control questions for Audit (2010) would be sufficient for the corporate governance stuff?  Also, would you say that corporate business structure would be worth looking at?

Have you looked at the CSOs (content specification outlines) for 2010 compared to 2011?  For 2011, "business structure" (which was 17-23% last year on BEC) was moved over to REG, which you probably noticed when you wrote REG last month.  And for 2011, the new BEC contains 16-20% of corporate governance as follows (clearly goes beyond what you mentioned):

A. Rights, duties, responsibilities and authority of BOD, officers and other employees 1. Financial reporting 2. Internal control 3. Enterprise risk management

B. Control environment 1. Tone at the top 2. Monitoring control effectiveness 3. Change control process

In my experience, all four parts of the exam have all adhered very closely to the CSOs for their respective years.
