You should not quit because failing is part of life.  However, it is not the end of the world either.

Sirguise:

To quote one of my favorite boxers......Rocky Balboa:

"It's not about how hard you hit, its about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much you can take and keep moving forward.......that's how winning is done!!!

Don't let this beat you........you will look back and regret is for the rest of your carreer.

I can imagine that you are really frustrated right now. What I would do is take a week or two - or even a month and come back and make a decision. You came real close and there are many success stories of people succeeding after failing more times than you. It isn't easy, and perseverance is part of it. You probablly can look back and figure out what you could have done better, or at least what you can do better. I know people who gave up decades ago and are sorry. One of my friends is getting into it because I told him of my plans. You don't want to be thinking 10 years from now "I wish I didn't give up"

This coming from someone who has just started! Watch a post from me in a few months quitting......... no I just won't post and fade away, and no one will know!

I know that everybody is trying to seem pretty "rah rah" about this, but I think that you need to be mature and realistic about this as well.  The CPA industry is being flooded with people who have easily passed this test, and it is more competitive than ever now. And keep in mind that if you choose a career in public accounting, you're basically going to be doing this work on a daily basis, 40-70+ hours a week until you're retired and living in Florida.

Be realistic and honest with yourself and try to figure out if this is what you really want to do, or if there's possibly something else that you would better use your abilities.
