Merry Christmas everyone!!!Just passed the CPA exam. Now i need some answers on what i need to do.I work and live in TX but i applied under CA board. What are my options??I would like to go ahead and transfer credit but im scared that i will not meet the 150 requirement.here are the facts.

1)just passed under CA

2)graduate of BS accountancy in my country(Philippines)

3)Working in a county as internal auditor(under a license TX CPA)

What are my options.I would love to be certified here in TX .I dont know what to do next.SHould i go ahead and apply for CA license and have reciprocity?SHould i go ahead and have my credentials evaluated here in TX and try to meet the requirements? If i dont meet the 150 requirements, will my credits from the exam expires??I hope someone can shed a light on my confusion.thanks everyone

Your credits from the exam do not expire (if you've passed
all sections).

prettynpink,

This is what I would do. I would have my credits evaluated in Texas. I do know that the credits DO not expire. I had mine for nearly a year before I got my work experience in. As long as you have passed all four sections, they don't expire.

You will have to pass an Ethics test and take an Ethics course. Make sure you do that fairly close to the time you turn in your paperwork to be certified. Otherwise, you will have to do it twice like me! I was so excited I just wanted to pass everything.

If you determine that you don't qualify for Texas, get evaluated in California and then apply for reciprocity.

Once again, this is just what I would do. Others may offer additional different advise.

Congratulations!
