Buddy, you are overthinking this! Passing the CPA exam is not about the depth of your knowledge. This exam is a mile wide and an inch deep. Based on your profession, you already know "too much." You need to take a CPA exam prep course in order to dumb it all down enough to pass the tests the way "they" want you to do it. You gotta study for this test rather than garner additional knowledge. Study smarter, not longer.
